What one object/thing would you take if your house were on fire?
I would try and haul my entire bookshelf out the window.Or just throw out armfuls of books.
My cats can save themselves.
My family will be busy saving the one object/thing they could take if the house was on fire.
I would just save my library. My years of book hunting and gifts.
Or risk nightmares of flames feeding on all those pages' sighs, how those words that had always meant so much to me disappear letter by letter, turn away from me turn black, how they droop and curl into nothing.
What do you do with the cards and letters you receive? Do you keep them all, just keep the photos, throw them away?

I'm a sentimental junkie, I keep as much as I can, wherever I can, and only sort it out a few intervals a year. I didn't ask to be this way, I wish I was one of those people who could remember everything just fine without needing triggers, but alas, my memory deteriorates faster than myself.
PS: if you'd like to add to my wall, please email me and I'll give you a postal address or something.
Who would you trust with your life?
No one, obviously. But there are a few people I would die for if it meant they could live. You don't have to believe me.

If you could eat anything you wanted, and not have to worry about gaining weight/being unhealthy/inhumane, what would you totally pig out on?

GIMME OX-TONGUE OX-TONGUE OX-TONGUE
AND THEN OX-TONGUE OX-TONGUE OX-TONGUE.
And also steak (with butter rice!), pasta, sushi, shawarma, popcorn, anything with cheese or butter in it, and everything on your breakfast and dessert menu. Everything please. I mean the smoked beef bacon, scrambled eggs, button mushrooms mashed potatoes Big English Breakfast and I mean the tiramisu, brownies, ice cream, everything. Thank you.
If any member of my family cooked anything I want double portion. I love Malay food. I know I'm given the license to eat anything I want, but I just realised it doesn't say whether I can get full or not. As if that would stop me.
* This list is not to be confused with absolute 'everything'. I don't eat 'everything.'

Out of all the Vox posts you've written, which is your favorite? Why?
Submitted by Adam.So maybe I should go back in time and reread a little since my memory is rubbish. But this QoTD made me realize that I have a little over 150 posts on my Vox now (varies for different viewing groups, inclusive of private posts), which is a lot of me and definitely too much for me to reread... I might just hurl. I'll be content with the fact that some people have very flatteringly added my posts to their favourites list, and so even though I don't know my favourites, I know that some neighbours have theirs. That is very very heartwarming. Thank you.
What's the infamous story people tell about you?

probably something to do with my sleeptalking, or sleep in general. I have very chaotic sleep, which hardly serves its purpose of a recharging period at all.
In your ultimate dream house, what does your favorite room look like?
I'm assuming I can't put all my books in the living room (but when I think about it, why the hell can't i?)
That aside, my favourite room would then be the library.
It wouldn't be too big, but it would be cosy, with a sofa and a beanbag and carpets.
No cats allowed, and wall to wall with books, all the books I have ever owned, encyclopedias, references, novels, fiction, hardcovers paperbacks, and space for more books to come.
No television, no computer, no phone, but a window with a balcony & a view would be nice.
Not to be confused with the room where the ps2 and/or computer and/or television is. I don't like mixing my media. bed stays with bed, page stays with page and electronics confer together.
What family member do you most aspire to be like? Why?

My mother, because she went through a total transformation from when I was 5 years old to this strong financially stable single mother today, who still has a sense of priorities, humour, tolerance, love for felines, taste for decor, and can bake a meaaaan chocolate cake.
I love everything about her, although sometimes I do wish she was into literature and/or art.
I do not want to bawl over Bollywood films, il Divo, Josh Groban, or Hallmark movies though.
Or develop an obsession for lace.
